1953 – 2016
Charlie was a visionary teacher, mentor, artist, activist, social entrepreneur, connector and leader. He dedicated his life to spreading creativity, kindness and youth empowerment. In so doing, he touched the lives of thousands of young people and adults across the globe. Charlie was driven by a dream of providing all young people access to transformative learning experiences that would prepare them to lead meaningful lives. He worked tirelessly for 20 years to make that happen. Thanks to his vision and indomitable spirit, over 220,000 young people are impacted each year through the transformative practices of the Creative Empowerment Model. Read his obituary
