These workshops will enable you to bring possibility and vibrance to your online facilitation using Zoom tools in creative ways. Like all PYE workshops, you will experience activities steeped in the Creative Empowerment Model (CEM), but the primary focus for these trainings is on gaining competence with the specific Zoom tools that will help you bring your online facilitation alive.
We welcome anyone who works with youth or adult groups: youth workers, educators, trainers, program leaders, facilitators, team leaders, plus more. Choose the training that is most appropriate for your current skill level and comfort using Zoom.

Training Descriptions
In this 6-hour training where you will learn to create the same lasting impact with your online groups as you do in your in-person programs by building your Zoom facilitation toolkit. We will show you how to leverage Zoom to facilitate programs that deliver a deep, interactive, and connected learning experience.

In this 6-hour training, you will deepen your understanding of the elements of interactive and connected online learning experiences. Together with other facilitators on Zoom, you will identify best practices for engaging all participants, discover techniques to bring any online activity to life, and exchange ideas to help one another navigate the unique possibilities and challenges of facilitating virtually. Whether you are improving on Zoom, or are feeling confidently experienced, this training is designed to strengthen your skills.
- Creative Activities. Gain a toolbox of tried and tested activities that have been adapted to use online. You can weave these tools into your program to increase engagement, connection, and creativity. The activities we offer can be used in any program, regardless of the content, format, or audience.
- Online Facilitation Techniques. Learn strategies and processes that will support you to prepare effectively for online facilitation. Learn techniques to increase participation among your group and meet a variety of different learning styles.
- Online Connection and Creative Collaboration. Experience how to create a sense of bonding and being together online. Then experience how creative group challenges build personal confidence, collaboration skills and the capacity to connect online.
NOTE: This is an experiential workshop that demonstrates a variety of zoom tool applications. This workshop does not teach how to use Zoom tools.
RECOMMENDATIONS: It is preferable (not required) that you have taken “Leading Powerful Online Programs: Basic” or our previous training “How to Lead Engaging and Interactive Programs Online,” or have confidence in using basic Zoom tools including how to ‘share sound’, ‘share screen’, run ‘breakout rooms’, and facilitate ‘annotation.’
