As someone who’s experienced the joy of communal art and learning, Ysabel strives to create spaces of connection and empowerment in order to facilitate both individual and broader transformation. Her experience in the Pilipinx American Student Union at Stanford University initiated her journey of understanding her own history and seeking to connect this to broader struggles of liberation. Ysabel brings two years of youth organizing experience in Chicago into her role at PYE and is excited to continue supporting positive ecosystems for youth. Outside of work, Ysabel enjoys spending time with her dog Gigi, crocheting plushies, and baking for her friends.
